August 4, 2022 Dear Residents and Families: We wanted to inform you that we have 5 residents who have tested positive for COVID-19 on 5A St. Michael’s unit.  The families of the residents who are positive for COVID 19 have been notified and these residents remains on isolation.  All residents on the unit continue to be closely monitored for symptoms but will not be asymptomatically tested as per the Shared Health guidelines.  We are continuing to allow designated caregivers to visit the residents on the 5A unit as long as they wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Another Auxiliary Success

On behalf of the Holy Family Home Auxiliary, thank you to all those that supported the "Zero Calorie, No Dinner - Dinner" 50/50 Fundraising Draw. Congratulations to O. Pannebaker who won 50% of the $6,120 that was raised. However, the real winners are the residents of Holy Family Home.  Proceeds raised from this draw will support programs and help with the purchase of specialized equipment and furnishings to help with enhancing resident care. CHANGES TO RESIDENT VISITORS GUIDELINES

June 30, 2022 Dear Residents and Families: We are pleased to announce changes to the Shared Health guidelines, which enable four designated family caregivers to be identified for each resident.  Please contact the unit Social Worker to add designated family caregivers to the list.  In room visitation for residents will still be limited two people at a time.  We are also now allowing visitors to assist residents with meals in the dining room.  Eye protection is no longer required for visitors when visiting in the absence of outbreaks. Resident Satisfaction Survey

June 28, 2022 Dear Residents and Families: We will be completing resident satisfaction surveys via a volunteer beginning this Wednesday, June 29, 2022.  The volunteer will meet with those residents identified by the Social Workers as able to participate in the survey.  The volunteer will ask the questions and document the responses. Family satisfaction surveys will be distributed next week . May 25, 2022 Dear Residents and Families: We are very pleased to inform you the remaining outbreak on 4C St. Martha’s / St. Basil’s has been declared over in consultation with WRHA Infection Prevention and Control.  The units will reopen tomorrow.  There are no outbreaks currently in the Home.  Fully vaccinated designated family caregivers and general visitors can visit in the resident’s room. There can be a maximum of two visitors (designated family caregivers or general visitors) visiting at a time.  The courtyard and the park will be available for visitation for fully vaccinated designated family caregivers or general visitors. May 23, 2022 Dear Residents and Families: There have been no additional COVID-19 positive residents in the Home.  4C - St. Martha’s / St. Basil’s is the remaining outbreak within the Home. May 18, 2022 Dear Residents and Families: We are happy to share that 4A – St. Joseph’s unit has had their COVOID-19 outbreak declared over in consultation with WRHA Infection Prevention and Control.    There has been one additional COVID-19 positive resident on 4C – St. Basil’s / St. Martha’s today and one COVID-19 positive resident on 3CS – St. Paul’s.  This unit is not considered to be in outbreak at this time as per Shared Health’s definition.  4C – St. Basil’s / St. Martha’s is our one remaining unit in outbreak at present.   The family of this resident has been informed and [...]
