November 1, 2022 Dear Residents and Families: We wanted to provide an update of our current COVID-19 and outbreak status in the Home: 4C St. Martha’s / St. Basil’s has 6 residents positive with COVID-19 and is in outbreak.  3A St. Anne’s has 4 COVID-19 residents positive and an outbreak has been declared.  4A St Joseph’s has 1 COVID-19 positive resident and one resident with RSV who will be resolved on November 3, 20225A has 2 residents who are positive with hMPV (human metapneumovirus) and are in respiratory outbreak. October 25, 2022 Dear Residents and Families, We have 2 cases of COVID 19 on 4C St. Martha’s / St Basil’s.  This means we are currently in COVID-19 outbreak on this floor.  Designated Family Caregivers can continue to visit but there is no general visitation allowed at this time.  Residents cannot leave the unit until the outbreak is resolved.  Families of the residents with COVID-19 have all been notified directly.   We also have one case of COVID-19 on 3A St. Anne’s and 1 on 3C St. John’s / St. Paul’s.  Residents cannot leave the floor on these units but can still have all visitation with [...]

VISITING HOURS UPDATE

Dear Families, Residents & General Visitors: On April 4th, 2023, we are changed the access into the facility, whereby all visitors will now require to enter a code to gain access into HFH.  Visiting hours are being extended from 9:00am to 8:00pm daily.  The exterior front door will continue to be locked from 8:30pm to 8:30am.  Security will not permit entry during the evening lockdown unless there are exceptional circumstances. August 25, 2022 Dear Residents and Families: We are pleased to inform you that the COVID-19 outbreak on 5A – St. Michael’s has been declared over by WRHA Infection Control and our Medical Director effective today.  There were eight residents who tested positive and all are past the infectious period.  The unit is open to general visitation as per guidelines during visitation hours.  Thank you for your support. August 15, 2022 Dear Residents and Families: We wanted to inform you that we had 3 additional residents test positive for COVID-19 this weekend on 5A St. Michael’s unit for a total of 8 resident cases. All of our original 5 positive residents are off precautions and in their recovery phase. The family of the residents who tested positive for COVID 19 have been notified and are on isolation with mild symptoms. August 4, 2022 Dear Residents and Families: We wanted to inform you that we have 5 residents who have tested positive for COVID-19 on 5A St. Michael’s unit.  The families of the residents who are positive for COVID 19 have been notified and these residents remains on isolation.  All residents on the unit continue to be closely monitored for symptoms but will not be asymptomatically tested as per the Shared Health guidelines.  We are continuing to allow designated caregivers to visit the residents on the 5A unit as long as they wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Another Auxiliary Success

On behalf of the Holy Family Home Auxiliary, thank you to all those that supported the "Zero Calorie, No Dinner - Dinner" 50/50 Fundraising Draw. Congratulations to O. Pannebaker who won 50% of the $6,120 that was raised. However, the real winners are the residents of Holy Family Home.  Proceeds raised from this draw will support programs and help with the purchase of specialized equipment and furnishings to help with enhancing resident care.
