Hello,

On May 1, 2020, all licensed personal care homes (PCHs) in Manitoba were required by order of the Chief Provincial Public Health Officer to limit the number of PCHs that nursing and support staff work in to one.  This change was a preventative measure put in place to protect PCH residents and staff from COVID-19.  We would like to invite you to participate in a survey to share your feedback about single-site staffing.  This survey is for personal care home residents and their family members/loved ones.

Shared Health has asked the George and Fay Yee Centre for Healthcare Innovation to evaluate single-site staffing, and this survey is an important part of the evaluation. The evaluation is critical to understand what worked well, what could be improved and the impact of single-site staffing on residents, families, and staff. Findings will be used to improve single-site PCH staffing and inform future personal care home staffing policies.

The deadline to complete the survey is September 4, 2020.

Thank you for your assistance with this evaluation.

Sincerely,

The PCH Single-Site Staffing Project Team
