Dear Families,

We are very pleased to share our last active resident was returned to their home unit this afternoon as recovered from the infectious period of the virus.  This is wonderful news to share and we are so looking forward to better days when we can resolve our outbreak at the home.  Our Red Zone unit will be closed effective today.

Currently, we have no active resident cases, 95 recovered from the infectious period of the virus and sadly twenty-nine residents have passed away.  There have been a total of 124 residents test positive for COVID-19.  Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with all of the residents for their ongoing recovery and improved strength.

There are 53 staff members of the 54 who have tested positive for COVID-19 who have recovered. We look forward to their safe return to work and are thankful for their recovery.

Phone calls continue to be underway to discuss the upcoming vaccination roll-out on January 25, 2021 and to review consent.  We are asking families to please answer calls from Holy Family Home to assist us in reaching all of the families in the short timeframe we have to be completed. We appreciate your patience and support as we complete this large volume of calls.

The indoor visitation rooms have been open and visits have been taking place with very positive feedback.  Those residents who are still in isolation cannot have visits booked with their designated family care giver at present.  To schedule a visit, please contact Janice Buors at 204-589-7381, extension 265.

We will contact you directly if there are any concerns related to your loved one.

Please keep Holy Family Home in your thoughts and your prayers.

Sincerely,

Tara-Lee Procter (Maciuszonek) – CEO
