Visitation guideline changes
As the province is moving out of a pandemic focus to an endemic focus of managing the COVID 19 virus, Holy Family Home will be updating this visitation change guidelines in the home to reflect the new changes in the region.
During non-outbreak times on a specific resident care unit:
4 vaccinated visitors can visit in resident rooms at one time with continued use of masks
4 visitors can visit in the visitation rooms at one time (please book an appointment through Janice Buors)
1 visitor can join a resident in the dining room to assist with meals
1 visitor can join a resident during recreation activities on the unit or off the unit
During outbreak times on a specific resident care unit:
2 visitors can visit in resident rooms during outbreak with appropriate Personal Protective Equipment as guided by nursing staff
NB – Visitors can be either designated or general visitors
End of Life
Please consult with administration is more than 4 visitors requesting to visit at one time
Social Outings
Continue to arrange social outings with the unit social worker or the manager of the resident care unit
Residents are to wear a medical mask when leaving and returning to Holy Family Home
Residents are to wear a mask when outside the home unless eating or drinking
Upon returning to the home residents are to be monitored for any respiratory symptoms for 10 days by nursing
Group Gatherings
We will continue to allow residents visitors to book gatherings of up to 12 people in the lecture room and the family dining room when your loved one’s resident care unit is not in outbreak. Please connect with the unit social worker to book a time. We will need a minimum of 7 days prior to the event to book the gathering and determine availability.
