Dear Families,
Currently, we have 1 active resident case, no residents in hospital, 94 recovered from the infectious period of the virus and sadly twenty-nine residents have passed away. There have been a total of 124 residents test positive for COVID-19. Our thoughts and prayers are with these residents for their ongoing recovery and improved strength.
There are 53 staff members of the 54 who have tested positive for COVID-19 recover. We are grateful for their safe return to work and thankful for their recovery. We have been advised the latest staff person who tested positive will not lengthen the period of time required to determine the outbreak resolved as they did not work during their period of communicability. In order for the outbreak to be considered resolved, two consecutive incubation periods of 14 days (28 days total) with no new infections have to pass from the date of the last resident’s positivity.
Phone calls are underway to discuss the upcoming vaccination roll-out on January 25, 2021 and to review consent. These calls will continue into next week. We appreciate your patience and support as we complete this large volume of calls.
We will contact you directly if there are any concerns related to your loved one.
Please keep Holy Family Home in your thoughts and your prayers.
Sincerely,
Tara-Lee Procter (Maciuszonek) – CEO
