Dear Families,

I have some good news to share that the 2A Sacred Heart COVID 19 precautions are now removed as we are past the incubation period and no additional residents became symptomatic. With only one resident case on the unit, we never went into official outbreak. I wish to thank the staff, family and residents during this time to help prevent the spread of the infection to others. So as of today, we can resume off unit events for the 2A Sacred Heart unit.

Unfortunately, on the 5A St. Michael’s unit we remain within the COVID 19 incubation period and continue to monitor the residents for COVID symptoms. To date we have not had any additional spread of the virus on the 5A St. Michael’s unit. At this time, we will continue no off unit events for 5A St. Michael’s unit until we are past the incubation period with no additional residents developing the infection. We are not in outbreak at this time on the 5A St. Michael’s unit, so our continued diligence to prevent the spread of the virus is necessary.

Please remember Holy Family Home is still following Manitoba Health and Shared Health expectations that medical masks are worn while in our facility.  Please do your part to prevent any viruses from coming into the home. Wash your hands and wear your masks when in our resident’s home. Just a reminder that both your nose and mouth are to be covered by the mask as per the diagram below:

Thanks for your understanding and helping to keep our residents safe from virus spread.
