Dear Families of Residents,
Holy Family Home Auxiliary will be holding a “Ukrainian Buds and Spuds” for residents and their families on Thursday, October 22, 2026. This event will take place on the main floor at Holy Family Home from 5:00 to 7:15pm. It will include dinner, live music by Group 5, singing, dancing and a 50/50 raffle. A Ukrainian supper will be served between 5:00 and 6:45pm.
As one of the Auxiliary sponsored events, the residents’ experience of the evening is our treat. Family members wishing to attend are asked to purchase tickets at $20.00 each, which will include the same meal of perogies, meat balls, garlic sausage, rye bread, coleslaw, dessert and pop or water. A cash bar will be available for those wishing to purchase beer, wine or coolers.
Residents whose family members purchased tickets can eat with their loved ones in the Link or Auditorium. Those residents on regular diets will get their meals on the main floor. Residents requiring texture modified meals can have the family member(s) bring their meal from the unit to the main floor. Those residents who do not have family joining them will have their dinner on the unit and then will be transported by volunteers after to the Atrium for music enjoyment.
Tickets will be available for in-person purchase (cash only please) at the Reception desk from Friday, October 2 up to and including Monday, October 19th. An initial limit of 2 family members per resident will ensure a fair and even distribution. We thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding.
There will be a 50/50 raffle (tickets for cash purchase) with proceeds going to support future recreation activities at Holy Family. There will also be a free raffle for the residents.
We look forward to seeing you at this fun filled family event.
With kindest regards,
Ukrainian Buds and Spuds Committee
Committee Members Leanne Peleck and Diane Snidal
