Meaningful fundraising

The Auxiliary is a diverse circle of women who believe that "To Serve is to Love." They unite around a single goal: the well-being of our residents. In the past their work has provided funding for specialized equipment, modern furnishings, and soul-nourishing programs that make Holy Family feel like a true home.

This isn’t just a volunteer group — it is a community of creative and energetic, individuals of various ages from all walks of life and professions. Their expertise in community engagement is legendary; from large-scale events to intimate celebrations, they bring a level of passion and excellence that is truly inspiring. Over the last 65 years, Holy Family Home Auxiliary has brought their unique talents to our halls, building a tradition of service that continues to grow stronger every year.

In order to fund various resident needs the Auxiliary hosts annual fundraiser events such as The Ladies Night Out Dinner in February, Two bake sales, once at Christmas and then another in May as well as a Buds and Spuds event in October.

Salsa with the Sisters

This past February the Auxiliary held its annual Fundraiser Dinner, “Salsa with the Sisters” which was well received; if bright smiles and contagious laughter are indicators. Don’t miss next year’s event; mark your calendars for Friday, February 5, 2027.

Semi-annual bake sale

Coming up Friday, May 7, 2026 is the popular semi-annual bake sale. Just in time for Mother’s Day. Along with tempting savouries and sweets for sale there will be cookbooks looking for a second home. Park Partners will be back with must-have seeds for gifting as well as our popular coffee house.

A massive success year after year, it draws crowds eager to take home a taste of the Auxiliary’s famous hospitality.

The Auxiliary brings light to the Home by sharing their time and talents through sponsored events and personal touches:

• Celebrations of joy: Personalized birthday visits.

• Spirit and tradition: The beloved St. Nicholas and Easter time visits, community singing, and lively monthly Bingo evenings.

• A warm welcome: Hand-delivered welcome baskets to help new residents feel at home from day one.

Through their professional approach to event planning, the Auxiliary raises significant funds to support the evolving needs of our residents. Their major initiatives every year include:

• The Signature Fundraising Dinner (1st Friday in February)

• Buds and Spuds annual evening for residents and family (October)

• The Famous Bi-annual Bake Sales (2nd Friday in May and 1st Friday in December)

The Auxiliary has no minimum requirement for volunteering; they are grateful to each member no matter when and how that member is able to give of their time.
