Thank you for the encouraging words to our staff at the Home
“We want to express our thanks for the care provided for our friend Shirley during the more than half year that she was at Holy Family Home. Shirley enjoyed some very good days there and also experienced some hard times, especially toward the end. But, during those hard times we saw the love and care of your staff – some in particular – and also your spiritual care team.
As “evangelical Protestants” – which we and Shirley and most of her many visitors would consider ourselves – we did of course notice and respect some differences between our faith practices and those at Holy Family. However, we – including Shirley – celebrated the important points of belief that we hold in common. Our faith gives us hope and Shirley was pleased to end her days on earth at Holy Family Home where others share in that hope.”
Dad seems adjusted, well looked after and is asking for larger pants (well fed!) … Thank you Maryna for going the extra mile for them (parents) and I’m sure for whoever is in your care!
From the bottom of our hearts, to everyone at Holy Family, thank you, thank you! God bless you all and keep well
Our mother is a resident in 5A, we are thankful for every staff that cares for her and the other residents. Each day you long to hug and see your loved one, our mother is 95 years old and at times does not understand what is going on. The staff have been so compassionate and understanding. The recreational coordinator Colleen is wonderful…the FaceTime moments are so appreciated. When I call to ask for something to be done for my mother, like turning her TV on as a distraction, they gladly do it. We could not ask for better staff and their loving care during this difficult time. May they all stay safe and well and know that they are appreciated deeply…
With my heart felt thanks.
To all the employees at Holy Family Home,
Our mother is a newer resident in your home, and we are so grateful to have such dedicated and caring staff working with her.
Although we are able to call her and chat daily, she misses her family. Your initiatives, such as scheduling Face Time visits with mom help fulfill a void for her and family who are unable to visit at this time.
The recreational, baking and gardening programs offered within the unit create a “ home like” environment for mom. As spring approaches, she will most definitely enjoy planting seeds and helping tend to a garden. These are things that are so familiar to her, as she kept a flower and vegetable garden in her own home every year!
We are grateful for the precautions, communication and regular updates Holy Family Home posts on the website and sends to family.
Most of all, we are grateful that during this unique time of health concern, Mom is well taken care of!
Gratefully,
To: All of the Staff at Holy Family
A note to say how very grateful we are for the stellar care you are providing the residents of Holy Family Home, including our mother, Annie Kmet. You are an exceptional group of people, and we will be forever indebted to you, not only for the outstanding care which you provide for our loved ones, but also for the peace of mind you give us during these unprecedented pandemic times.
Stay safe! Keep healthy!
You are in our prayers.

On behalf of my mom who resides on the Secret Heart Unit and our family
please allow me to express our gratitude towards all staff that is involved
in mom’s care. Their caring and compassion is much appreciated.I would like to highlight the contribution of the individuals I frequently
am in contact with. Her nurses, Anna Lee, Helen, Jenny, Wendy, and Maria,
her HCAs, Priscilla, Victoria, and the day time HCAs. Sincere thanks to
mom’s recreational therapist, Magda, for her genuine passion towards her job
and great compassion towards my mom and other residents. She pays attention
to them and tries to fulfil their needs as much as possible. She treats
them as they are her family. For all of them, especially now, life without
Magda would be much more challenging.
Be kind, safe, and healthy everyone.
Thank you.
In memory of our dad John Kasprick who passed away on Monday April 13, 2020, we would like to thank all of the staff of Holy Family Home for their dedicated care, kindness and compassion on a daily basis, and especially during this global health crisis. To everyone in particular who works on 3A, St Anne’s ward, thank for all of the care and support over the past 2 years. You helped filled our dad’s days with laughter, activities, spiritual care and of course an endless supply of chocolate bars and hair colour (thank you Doris and Tracy). To the staff working on April 12th and 13th, we thank you for your loving care, dignity and respect shown to our dad in his final hours. Our dad is now at peace and we will never forget all that you have done. Stay well and be safe!
With heartfelt thanks,
I just wanted to send a personal note to your team to thank you so very much for your care of our mother. Your nurses, social events staff, dietary staff, and all others that take care of her are so greatly appreciated.
I know you’re doing the best possible for her, especially during this challenging time.
Hope you and your staff are keeping well, and thanks again
Warm regards
Our family would like to thank Colleen for arranging and bringing our Mom down today for a morning window visit. It was so wonderful to see our Mom and wish her a Happy Mother’s Day. We all had the opportunity to briefly speak with her and see how happy she was to see us all. We appreciated these moments so much. Thank you, Colleen, for all that you do for our Mom and all the other residents.
