Dear Families,
Holy Family Home is pleased to announce that Divine Liturgy on Sundays will be returning on a monthly basis in the New Year. The Spiritual Care Department offers many weekly services from a variety of faith denominations; however, residents and families continue to stress the importance of going to church on Sunday. We are so pleased to be able to restart these services for them!
There will be two Sunday services in December:
Sunday December 3, Festival of Lights, 10:00 am with Metropolitan Lawrence Huculak and Macenko Choir
Sunday December 24, Christmas Eve Service, 10:00 am with Fr. Bohdan Lukie
Beginning in January until the end of June, we will celebrate Divine Liturgy on the LAST Sunday of every month, beginning on Sunday Jan. 28. Sunday services will take place in the auditorium.
There are many moving parts in facilitating a large Sunday service again. Perhaps the most important part is finding volunteers to assist residents from their units to the auditorium. We know many family members are looking forward to attending church with their loved one. As such, we ask, if they are able, to assist other residents to and from the elevators/and or units during these mornings. Please note that Sunday services are open to residents, family members and Tower residents.
It is so good to come together to worship. We are thankful to Holy Family Home in moving forward with these plans for the New Year.
