October 16, 2023

Dear families,

We hope this letter finds you well. We wanted to take this opportunity to provide you with an important update regarding the recent Covid-19 outbreak on 2C St. Mary’s and St. Francis and 3A St. Anne’s units.

We are pleased to inform you that, as of October 16th, the outbreak on 2C has been declared over by WRHA IP&C and our Medical Director, Dr. Terry Babick. We are grateful for their guidance and expertise throughout this challenging time.

During the course of the outbreak, we had a total of 14 residents who tested positive as of October 4th. We would like to express our sincere appreciation to our dedicated staff members and supportive families for their unwavering caution and patience. Your cooperation has been instrumental in helping us navigate through this situation successfully.

3A St. Anne’s unit remains in respiratory outbreak. We have implemented necessary outbreak measures to prevent the spread of the virus to other residents within our home.

In light of this ongoing situation, we kindly request that you continue to prioritize good hygiene practices. This includes regular handwashing, receiving vaccination, and covering your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing.

Once again, we extend our deepest gratitude for your patience, understanding, and cooperation during these challenging times. Your ongoing support is invaluable and greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

Stacey Morgan RNBN

Director of Care
