Throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, programs for Holy Family Home residents have been constantly changing and adapting. Even on units experiencing outbreaks, residents are still keeping busy in their rooms. We look forward to being able to gather together again soon, but in the meantime our recreation and spiritual care teams are hard at work helping keep residents stimulated and engaged on quarantined units. Some examples are individual recreation programs such as music, art, exercise, reading, and puzzles; connecting residents and families through virtual visits; and providing spiritual support and friendly visits in rooms. iPads are used to engage residents through music, games, online church services, and travelogues.  In addition, the rehab team is doing 1:1 exercise and walking programs on quarantined units.
