This past year 2021 has had its ups and downs for most of us here at Holy Family Home. There have been challenges and changes which have included tears of joy and some tears of sadness. As we near the end of 2021 we reflect and quietly remember the events, undertakings and activities of the home with the leadership of Holy Family Home, the Sisters Servants of Mary Immaculate and all of the staff and residents. We must take time to thank God for another year that has passed. We shall go forward into 2022 with hearts of gratitude. We have much to look forward to and we also must reflect with thankful hearts and remember those who have left us and keep them in our memories.
As you enter the home you will notice 40 ice candles that were prepared by a staff member of Holy Family Home. She was inspired to create these beautiful ice candles honoring those we have lost throughout the year. Her caring heart and pure love for our residents reflects in the many hours of her personal time she spent on creating these. She is an example of the type of people we are blessed to have working among us. Please take notice of these creations and their intent when you walk up the pathway to Holy Family Home. We are calling this Memory Lane to Holy Family Home.
These candles will be lighting the path to the home and will be lit December 23rd 2021 to burn into the night and light up the path towards Christmas Eve. Residents are being remembered in liturgies and families have received the days on which these will be prayed for their loved ones. We invite you to pray for those who have left us and pray for all who have been a part of our journey during this past year.
May Gods blessings be upon you and rejoice as we witness a miracle of Christ’s birth that was a gift to not only us but to the whole world all those years ago. Blessed and Merry Christmas to you all and Peace and Health in 2022.
