Festival of Lights
“We wanted quality resident care that met our parents’ spiritual beliefs and cultural needs in a loving, respectful environment. Physical needs as well. Holy Family Home was our choice when our mother needed extra care. When Dad also needed personal care, he said, that it would be the best medicine to be with his wife, together at Holy Family Home. And it happened.
Our parents, their children, and families of many generations, from near and far, provide loving support, which gives our parents much joy. This support and connection were even made possible through Covid, with window visits and FaceTime.
When we visit, we can find our parents together enjoying some of the Recreational events that are made available again with the Covid restrictions lifted cautiously. They can enjoy Bingo, the beautiful courtyards, their balconies, and concerts that have Western or Old-Time music, sparking memories.
Almost in their 97 years of age, our parents truly are a blessing. Their home is in Building C, living on the same floor in the units of St. Basil and St. Martha. As a family, we appreciate the team of staff that meet their daily needs.”

Divine Liturgy
On Sunday, December 4, Metropolitan Lawrence Huculak, OSBM celebrated Divine Liturgy in the chapel, livestreamed to residents, families and donors. Following the service, the first #FestivalofLights tree was lit by chair of the Community Relations Committee of the #HolyFamilyHome Board of Directors Cathy Lentz and CEO Tara-Lee Procter.
“I feel deeply privileged to be a frequent volunteer at Holy Family Home. This has allowed me over the last year to bear witness to the many acts of loving kindness and devoted care by our dedicated staff, meaning not only the physical care, but also the emotional and spiritual care that have made Holy Family Home a jewel in the crown of faith-based not-for-profit personal care homes of Manitoba… and you, our donors, have helped us to make that difference.”
