Dear Residents and Families:

We are very sorry to share the passing of one of our residents who was positive for COVID-19.  Our sincere condolences to the family during this difficult time.

We currently have outbreaks on the following units:

3A St. Anne’s2 active  residents and 3 non-infectious recovered
4A St. Joseph’s1 active resident
5A St. Michael’s6 non-infectious recovered residents
2CS – St. Francis2 active residents

   Please note active refers to those COVID-19 positive residents still in the infectious period

We will be opening visitation to one fully vaccinated designated family caregiver per day to 5A St. Michael’s and 3A St. Anne’s beginning tomorrow.  Visitation on 2A – Sacred Heart, 4A – St. Joseph’s and 2CS – St. Francis continue to be suspended currently other than for end of life or compassionate reasons. 

Visitation hours will be as follows:

Sunday10 am – 2 pm

Visitation will follow the protocols below:

  • Each resident may have one fully-vaccinated designated family caregiver visit per day (there will be no exceptions).
  • Visits are to occur in the resident’s rooms only.
  • Masks (fully covering the nose and mouth) and eye shields must be worn at all times.
  • Physical distance of 6 feet should be maintained as much as possible. 
  • No food or drink will be permitted while visiting.
  • Pets are permitted to visit.
  • If designated family caregivers are not following these protocols, their visitation access will be revoked. 

We are requesting designated family caregivers to communicate with one another to reduce the likelihood of being declined entry on arrival at the Home.

All residents within the Home continue to be closely monitored for any signs and symptoms.  We also continue to work closely with WRHA Infection Prevention and Control.

There are 14 COVID-19 positive staff who are isolating at present.        

We will contact you should there be any concerns or issues with your loved one.
