Dear Families,
Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers, grandmothers, sisters, aunts and remarkable women in all of our lives. May we celebrate these special people today in a safe and thoughtful way.
With the increased positivity rate in the province and particularly within Winnipeg, we are asking anyone visiting the Home to do their part to follow the public health restrictions to decrease the risk within the Home and in the community. While at the Home visiting as a designated family caregiver, we remind everyone to follow the protocols in place to keep everyone safe including only visiting in the resident’s room, directly proceeding to and returning from the outdoor spaces and only using the washrooms in the resident’s room. Designated family caregivers should not be outside of the resident’s room while on the unit visiting. For more information on the protocols in place, please visit: https://www.holyfamilyhome.mb.ca/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/Designated-Caregiver-Visitation-March-2021.pdf.
Visits for general visitors (family members/visitors beyond the 2 Designated Family Caregivers) can be scheduled in the three indoor visitation rooms by calling Janice Buors at 204 589 7381 ext. 265.
We are encouraging all designated family caregivers and all visitors to be vaccinated when there is an opportunity for their protection and the overall protection of the Home. The vaccine eligibility criteria has changed significantly over the past 2 weeks and can be found at https://www.gov.mb.ca/covid19/vaccine/eligibility-criteria.html.
In the event an outbreak occurs on a resident’s unit, visits will be cancelled in accordance with provincial infection prevention and control protocols.
Please keep Holy Family Home in your thoughts and your prayers.
Sincerely,
Tara-Lee Procter (Maciuszonek) – CEO
