Dear Families,

We are very sorry to share the passing of two of our residents.  Our sincere condolences and prayers are to the families in this very challenging time.

There are currently 71 residents recovered from the infectious period of the virus and recuperating, 22 active resident cases, 2 residents in hospital and sadly eighteen residents have passed away.  There have been a total of 113 residents test positive for COVID-19.  We are sending healing thoughts and prayers to all of these residents for their recovery and improved strength. We are anticipating several other residents to recover in the next few days.  We are so very grateful for the recovery of our residents and wish them continued health.

We have had 33 staff members of the 44 who have tested positive for COVID-19 recovery. There are several more staff anticipated to be cleared to return to work in the near future.  We welcome these staff in their safe return to care for the residents.

The Red Cross will be continuing to provide assistance to the residents with eight support aides.  There is on-site management from the Red Cross and we continue to work closely with them.

Holy Family Home has partnered with VidDay to provide video Christmas greetings for residents.  A letter was emailed to families and the information is on the website at https://www.holyfamilyhome.mb.ca/send-a-special-christmas-greeting if you are interested.

Thank you for your support and encouragement as we continue to manage our outbreak.  Your kind words and actions are sincerely appreciated.

We will contact you directly should there be any issue with your loved one.

Please keep Holy Family Home in your thoughts and your prayers.

Sincerely,

Tara-Lee Procter (Maciuszonek) – CEO
