Dear Families,
We received more positive results today. There are currently 69 residents recovered from the infectious period of the virus and recuperating, 26 active resident cases, 2 residents in hospital and sadly sixteen residents have passed away. There have been a total of 113 residents test positive for COVID-19. Our thoughts and prayers are with all these residents for their increased strength and recovery. We are hopeful there will be a many more residents assessed as recovered from the virus in the next few days.
We have had 33 staff members of the 44 who have tested positive for COVID-19 recover. There are several more staff anticipated to be cleared to return to work in the near future. We are so very thankful for these staff being able to safely return to work and for their recovery.
The Red Cross began providing support to the residents today starting with eight support aides. It is hoped there will be 10 aides in the near future going forward. We are grateful for the additional support for the residents as during their recovery.
We continue to meet with WRHA LTC program regularly who are providing support and guidance.
We will contact you directly should there be any issue with your loved one.
Please keep Holy Family Home in your thoughts and your prayers.
Sincerely,
Tara-Lee Procter (Maciuszonek) – CEO
