Dear Families,

We regret to inform you of the passing of another one of our residents this morning.  Our sincere condolences and prayers to the family during this very challenging time.

We received more positive results bringing the total of COVID-19 positive residents to 109.    There are currently 69 residents recovered from the infectious period of the virus and recuperating, 24 active resident cases, 1 resident in hospital and sadly sixteen residents have passed away.  We are hopeful for the improved strength and improved health of these residents. Our thoughts and prayers are with all these residents.

There was an error in the staff reporting yesterday.  We have had 44 staff members test positive for COVID-19 and 32 have recovered. There are several more staff to be anticipated to be cleared to return to work in the next few days.  We are so very thankful for these staff being able to safely return to work and for their recovery.

The Red Cross began providing support to the residents today starting with eight support aides.  It is hoped there will be 10 aides in the near future going forward.  We are grateful for support to the residents during their recovery.

We continue to meet with WRHA LTC program regularly who are providing support and guidance.

We will contact you directly should there be any issue with your loved one.

Please keep Holy Family Home in your thoughts and your prayers.

Sincerely,

Tara-Lee Procter (Maciuszonek) – CEO
