Dear Families,
It is with heart felt sadness that we inform you of the passing of one of our residents this morning. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time.
We received one more positive result today bringing the total of COVID-19 positive residents to 95. There are currently 48 residents recovered from the virus who are no longer infectious and recuperating, 32 active resident cases, 3 residents in hospital and sadly twelve residents have passed away. Our thoughts and prayers are with these residents for their recovery and well-being.
We have had 43 staff test positive for COVID-19 and 22 have recovered. We are anticipating several more staff to be cleared to return to work once assessed by Occupational Health to safely return to work.
The Red Cross will be meeting with the Home on December 7, 2020 as further preparation for the arrival of the 8 support aides on December 8, 2020. These support aides will receive an orientation and have onsite management by the Red Cross. As mentioned yesterday, the support aides will be at the Home 7 days per week for 10 hours per day. There will be one group starting on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 and a second group on Saturday, December 12, 2020.
We are very grateful for the kind support and messages received from family and members of the community. It is very encouraging for all the staff to know their continued efforts are being appreciated.
We will contact you directly should there be any issue with your loved one.
Please keep Holy Family Home in your thoughts and your prayers.
Sincerely,
Tara-Lee Procter (Maciuszonek) – CEO
