Dear Residents and Families:
Our apologies yesterday’s letter was missing the information related to 2C – St. Mary’s / St. Francis.
We are also having email issues with those who have Shaw email addresses. We are following up with Shaw but in the interim, please consult the website for daily updates at https://www.holyfamilyhome.mb.ca.
There are 4 COVID-19 positive residents on 5A – St. Michael’s, 2 positive residents on 1CS – St. Nicholas, 22 residents positive on 3C St. John’s / St. Paul’s with 11 residents passed the infectious period, 7 residents positive on 2C – St. Mary’s / St. Francis and 4A – St. Joseph’s has 14 residents who have tested positive. 2A has had seven residents test positive for COVID-19 and all of these residents have passed the infectious period. 2A – Sacred Heart should be able to have their outbreak declared over tomorrow.
We also have had a resident test positive 4CS – St. Martha’s but no outbreak has been declared.
The families of these residents have been informed and if there are any issues with your family member, the unit staff will contact you by phone.
We have 28 staffing currently isolating who are COVID-19 positive.
Fully vaccinated Designated Family Caregivers will continue to be able to visit on all units whether there is an outbreak on the unit or not. If visiting on a unit with COVID-19 activity, please report to nursing to receive information on the proper use and donning / doffing of personal protective equipment.
Beginning April 20, 2022, general visitors will not be able to visit residents in the Home to assist in the management of the outbreaks. We will continue to monitor the situation and review this regularly.
