Dear Residents and Families:

We are sorry to inform you a resident who was positive for COVID-19 passed away today.  Our thoughts and sincere condolences to the family at this time.   

As advised by WRHA Infection Prevention and Control, the outbreaks for 3C – St. John’s / St Paul’s and 2C – St. Mary’s / St. Francis have combined these units as an outbreak by floor rather than unit.  The information shared will be in this format due to this direction. 

There are four additional COVID-19 resident cases on 3C St. John’s / St Paul’s, two additional residents positive on 4A – St. Joseph’s and one new resident positive on 2C – St. Mary’s / St. Francis. 

There are 19 positive residents on 3C – St. John’s/ St. Paul’s.

There are 8 positive residents on 2A – Sacred Heart.

There are 6 positive residents on 2C – St. Mary’s / St. Francis. 

There are 9 positive residents on 4A – St. Joseph’s.

The families of these residents have been informed and if there are any issues with your family member, the unit staff will contact you by phone.

We are pleased to inform fully vaccinated Designated Family Caregivers may resume visitation on all units with current outbreaks during visitation hours effective tomorrow April 15, 2022.  Those visiting residents who are positive will have to wear full personal protective equipment for the duration of the visit and remain in the resident’s room.  Please report to nursing on the unit when visiting to received direction as to properly wear and don/doff the protective equipment.
