Fundraising helps to support and enhance resident initiatives.Roses are available for purchase at $5 per stem (cash only) from Wednesday, February 8th to Friday, February 10th. This year, we were able to celebrate Malanka, once  again, with the residents and their families at Holy Family Home. It was so beautiful to see families celebrating  a holiday that is meaningful for many of our residents.  Malanka, celebrated on New Year’s eve is a traditional holiday in honour of Saint Melanie whose feast day is on the last day of the calendar year. Celebrating (the last day of the year) or  (New Year’s Eve) has a long history and actually dates back to pre-Christian pagan times.
