Calling all jitterbugs! Get ready to rock around the clock at our 1950s/60s themed dance party in the Auditorium on January 15th at 11:00 AM. Families and staff, dust off those poodle skirts and bell bottoms! Let's make this a special day for our residents. We appreciate your help in ensuring everyone can enjoy the fun, including assisting with resident transport. Let's make it a day of boogie-woogie bliss!

Ladies Night Out: “Rise and Shine with the Sisters”

Pajamas on! Family and friends are invited to join the HFH Auxiliary for a cozy and fun-filled evening on February 7, 2025. Enjoy delicious food and the company of friends while supporting Holy Family Home. Tickets are $110 and can be purchased from Lubov, Cathy, or Rozalia. Contact information is listed on the poster.

For the first time in three years, residents were able to come together to pray the Плащаниця Service on Good Friday. This sacred gathering allowed us to unite our sufferings to the suffering of Jesus. Through sung prayer Jesus’ body was honoured. Residents, families and volunteers lead the procession where Jesus was laid in the tomb. Thank you to all who participated in helping this sacred time happen at Holy Family. TARAS SHEVCHENKO TEA

Residents, with their families, enjoyed the Taras Shevchenko Tea. They listened to poetry and songs written by Shevchenko, which were recited and sung by staff and volunteers. Taras Shevchenko lived from March 9, 1814, to March 10, 1861. He is called the "Bard of Ukraine”, on a level with Shakespeare, Byron and Robert Burns. A true “people poet”, he expressed the aspirations of a broad sector of Ukrainians in contemporary language, with humanism and spirituality. He truly laid a solid foundation for the Ukrainian literary language.
