Dear families, Yesterday April 25, 2024 the scabies outbreak on 3A St. Anne’s unit was resolved per regional infection prevention and control in consultation with our Medical Director. So all residents have resumed regular activities which include leaving the unit to attend programs and visiting with family and friends off the resident care unit. Thank you to the residents, family members and staff for their hard work to ensure we did not have additional spread on the resident care unit as well as the remainder of the facility. All residents’ recovered and normal activities have resumed on the unit as of April 9, 2024. Thanks to the residents, families and staff for following the outbreak protocols to ensure a timely resolution of the outbreak. Over the weekend, we did have a gastrointestinal (GI) outbreak develop on the 5A St. Michael’s unit with several residents developing symptoms of vomiting and diarrhea. The 2A Sacred Heart Gastrointestinal (GI) outbreak resolved on March 30, 2024. The 3A St. Anne’s unit continues in a scabies outbreak.
